Ingredients (Serves 8β10):
π Cake Batter:
- 1 Β½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (45g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 Β½ cups (360ml) whole milk
- 1/2 cup (120ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
π« Chocolate Ganache (optional):
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 100g dark chocolate, chopped
Optional Ingredients:
- Chopped walnuts or pecans in batter
- Banana slices or chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cake:
- Preheat oven to 175Β°C (350Β°F). Grease and flour a 9-inch round or square cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until just combined.
2. Bake:
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 35β40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool cake in pan for 15 minutes.
3. Prepare the Milk Soak:
- Mix whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract.
- Poke holes all over the warm cake using a fork or skewer.
- Slowly pour the milk soak evenly over the cake, allowing it to absorb.
4. Optional Ganache:
- Heat heavy cream until just simmering.
- Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit 2 minutes.
- Stir until smooth and glossy.
- Pour over the soaked cake or drizzle before serving.

- Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor and moisture.
- Pour milk soak gradually to avoid sogginess.
- Ganache adds richness but can be skipped for a lighter treat.
