Description:
This Nutella Oreo Cheesecake is a show-stopping, indulgent dessert that combines the crunch of Oreo cookies with the creamy smoothness of Nutella. With an Oreo crust, a rich Nutella-infused cheesecake filling, and a luscious topping, it’s the ultimate dessert for chocolate and hazelnut lovers!
Origin:
A modern, no-bake cheesecake inspired by the world’s love affair with both Nutella (Italian hazelnut spread) and Oreo cookies (American chocolate sandwich cookies). This fusion dessert has become especially popular in Europe and the Middle East.
Ingredients (Serves 10–12):
🍪 For the Crust:
- 24 Oreo cookies (with cream)
- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
🍫 For the Filling:
- 500g (2 cups) cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup (180g) Nutella
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups (375ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
🍫 For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup (120g) Nutella, melted slightly
- Crushed Oreos, chocolate shavings, or hazelnuts for garnish
- Whipped cream (optional)
Optional Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts (in crust or topping)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (for a darker, deeper filling)
- 1 tablespoon espresso or coffee (to enhance the chocolate flavor)
Instructions:
Step 1 – Make the Crust:
- Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by hand.
- Mix with melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
- Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 20 minutes while making the filling.
Step 2 – Make the Filling:
- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Add Nutella, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream to stiff peaks.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the Nutella mixture until fully combined and fluffy.
- Pour the filling over the crust, smoothing the top. Chill at least 6 hours or overnight.
Step 3 – Topping & Garnish:
- Once set, drizzle or spread melted Nutella over the top.
- Sprinkle crushed Oreos, hazelnuts, or chocolate shavings.
- Add whipped cream swirls if desired.
Tips for Success:
- Use room-temperature cream cheese for a smooth filling.
- Chill overnight for the best structure and flavor.
- Don’t overfold the whipped cream—keep it light and airy.
- For clean slices, dip your knife in hot water before cutting.
Recommendations:
- Best served chilled with a glass of cold milk or espresso.
- Store leftovers in the fridge, covered, for up to 5 days.
- Freeze individual slices for up to 1 month—thaw in the fridge before serving.
